How to Get More 5-Star Reviews in 3 Simple Steps (And Why They Matter More Than Ever)

If you’ve ever felt like you're doing amazing work but not enough people know about it—you're not alone.
Reviews are one of the most powerful (and free!) ways to build credibility, increase referrals, and close more sales in your flooring or home service business. Whether you're selling tile, running a showroom, or managing installs, 5-star reviews tell the world you know what you're doing.

Here’s a quick and dirty 3-step method to get more glowing reviews from your happy customers—without feeling awkward or pushy.
STEP 1: Make It Stupid Simple to Leave a Review
Nobody’s going to go out of their way to leave you a review. That’s just facts.
Your job is to make it so easy, they can do it in 10 seconds.
Here’s how:

Go to your Google Business Profile and copy your review link.

Use that short URL to create a QR code.

Print that QR code.

Use a trackable QR code (we love bitly.com) so you can figure out which printed items are actually generating reviews. No more guessing.
STEP 2: Ask for the Review in the heat of the moment
Right after the job is done, or during the walkthrough, say:
“Did you feel like you got a 5-star experience?”
Let them answer. If they say yes (which they usually will), follow it with:
“Amazing! Would you mind sharing that in a quick Google review?”
Then either:

Hand them your QR code card, OR
-
Text them the review link right then and there.
Speed matters here. Strike while the satisfaction is fresh.
STEP 3: Gratitude is a Growth Strategy
Always, always, always say thank you.
Publicly respond to every single review.
Not just for the customer who wrote it, but for the next person who reads it and thinks: “Wow, she really cares.”
Gratitude creates more of what you want—so keep those positive vibes circulating.
